Hi all, i am visiting family tuesday week, for about 4-5 days, i would like to know if the smooth hounds, thornies and bass are being caught. I am going to take my nephew who has never fished before, and would like to know where the best place to take him so he catch his 1st fish, we are based in cowes, but I will driving around so any desent spots, tactics etc would be greatly appreciated, thank you Steve H |

well, we went fishing by the needles on a rib, and had 50 mackerel on last thursday. Last friday took a trip to Yarmouth peir, the guys on there had mackerel, garfish and bass, all on freshly netted white bait which seemed to do the trick. |
