Hi i will be on holiday for a week any ideas where i can fish around Dawlish and is there any tackle shops around there.

try teignmouth good for bass and gars about 3 miles west of dawlish.
there are 2 tackle shops
fish the harbour entrance casting live sandeels into the race or float fishing
in the calmer back water . sandeels can be bought from a fishing club in one of the beach huts near the harbour . they cost about £3 for half a scoop about 50 eels take a bucket and an air pump. good luck |

i recomend a 8ft spinning rod 2 ft trace 3/o hooks let me know how you get on pls |
