hi and thanx 4 reading. iv just returned to sea fishing after 10 years out n wud like advice on what reel n rod to buy for good casting distance as im now behind on the times.  |

Try reading the reviews or browsing the post's. There are loads of stuff in here. I buy stuff that breaks quick so don't ask me!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: |

Welcome back mate....
I too was in the same position as you. Away from fishing for a long time and you do wonder if things have changed.
But really it's only the amount of fish you can catch now, and the sizes.
Trawlers have delapitated fish stocks with their bottom trawling methods.
It really depends on what you want to do mate.
If you are like me, and just happy to fish for anything that comes your way.
Then there are some cheap run off the mill stuff, that would suffice.
If you are more into match fishing then ask people like 'Concrete', 'Blackdog', 'Rocket' and 'Soleman' about rods and tackle.
They are just guys I know on the East Coast forums and no doubt there are many like those in all forums.
