Like Northendpompey I too was out this morning. Lovely in the Sunshine, fly rod in hand, waist deep in the water, great to be back. South easterly wind did nothing to help the prospects of a fish, but still very enjoyable.

you wont catch nothinig if your rods aint in the water mate.didnt relise this was a photo compImage
ther is a greater creasted grebein the shot .that little speck in the middle.he blanked aswell .
if you aint out there you aint going to be catching the first of the season.

Hi i am going fly fishing for Bass soon, and its my 1st time out there with a fly rod.Can you tell me what would be the best fly for the job and Do i greas the the fly line the first few feet of the leader so its float.
