Hi all, new to this forum so a bit rusty getting my head around this thing.
After a wet few hours trying to fish on Saturday at Walton pier decided to
call it a misrable blanking session! Got back to my van parked up some road and tried to get wet gear off and inside van as quick as possible.
I laid rod bag and beach shelter on roof rack and threw clothes and tackle box etc in back. Got home and was having a shave when to my horror realised i had left rods and shelter loosely on rack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been back to walton and informed police, pier etc about my stupidity but i still have lost a lot of gear.
Would be mighty grateful if anyone knows where they might be.
I have lost a green Chub rod holder with 4 rods and a tri-pod and
a red Ron thompson shelter. I know I'm a Muppet but there you have it.
Thanks for reading my tale of woe, Cheers Mardic.

Best of luck mate. It's the sort of thing I would do.

i know of 2 pople who lost gear like that and both got them back. it might be surprising but there are still a few honest people out there.

i know of one guy who left a zziplex loose on the roof in wales for the penn sea league final, got home to waterford in ireland to find it gone. he didnt know where it was, wales, the boat or ireland so didnt hold out too much hope of getting it back and didnt advertise it.
a few weeks later he spotted the same model of rod for sale so went to have a look and buy, turned out to be his rod. it was found in the middle of a roundabout 3 miles from his house big grin big grin he was able to prove it was his so the guy gave it back.

keep an eye out in local papers for adverts and online, you might get lucky.

If they are honest and the gear was lost in Walton you may want to try Metcalf's.

Good luck.
