fished the three hours to bottom again early this mornin,
5 decent flatties again, (deja vu) another 4 undersize. missed a few aswel.
but again all took the mackeral.
i had lug tipped with squid on the others.
when i was out rooting with the dogs a few year back, i found an underground sluce gate. theres a big industrial area up there.
im thinking all the sewage can attract fish.
when i used to fish hendon wall, up in sunderland. it was at the back ov a sewage plant, and gas works,
it was a great spot. always cod. so where theres muck as they say.
by the way , has anyone got expirience in getting razor fish, at lo water, ive been told to look for the keyhole burrow, pour salty water down, and they pop up. and hey presto, has anyone any tips n tricks. i wouldnt mind a go at that. |

I recall a TV programme which shewed a guy collecting razer fish. When he spotted where one was in the sand, He plunged a long bladed knife down at an angle so that the blade stopped the RF from burrowing down. Cant remeber how he got the buggers out tho' but he made it look easy! He didnt use any salt. Maybe he prized them up with his knife. |
