With fixed reels it is great for using and you feel every knock of the fish when your reeling in as its non stretch properties allow just that. Using it for a multiplier is acceptable too but be carefull as if you get a birds nest with braid then its a lot of line wasted. winking

Heres a link of one braid you might be interested in. Obviously there will be cheaper out there and this is an example.

The good thing about braid is that it is a lot thinner than mono of the same breaking strain as mono therefore you can reduce the weight, having less resistance to tidal drag, and has already been pointed out you can feel every twist and turn of your quarry.

Just my opinion m8 but 2 problems arise when using braid in rocky situations.

1. Braid tends to fray when coming into contact with sharp rocks.

2. If your snagged in said rocks you risk the eyes in your rod becoming damaged by trying to pull out of said snag.

Its a tough choice when fishing snaggy ground, however all is not lost as you could always use a rotten bottom rig. Which gives you that weak link to hopefully just lose the lead and keep everything else. My opinion stick with mono winking
