Hi lads, My wife has been made redundant and as she is the main bread winner it looks like I need to sale my Wilson flyer. My wife is very upset and says that we will manage, but with the cost of the boat birth now over £200 a year and the cost of petrol increasing it makes more sence to sale my boat, I would rather put food on the table for my family than have something that I would not enjoy, There are very little jobs out there and none paying the sort of money my wife was on, there don't seem to me many companys this year taking taking on Christmas staff.
A sad time, not just for me but many others too. |

Sorry to hear of your circumstances but that is one reason I sold mine was the fact that it actually works out cheeper to charter than to own your own boat.
After saying that it is a nice feeling to have your own boat and the freedom that goes with it.
I do however have a small open boat that I will use for the estuaries and such like with a 5hp Tohatsu engine and oars.
Cheers
