fished hythe on the 17th november for the 1st time.arrived at about 2pm with 2 freinds .ht not till about 8pm so nice and early got all set up had a good look around etc .started to fish about 4-30 pm wind stright in the face from off shore but not to bad though ,sea had plenty of chop ,bait common lug and squid ,rigs running ledger 6/0 panel and two hook flapper with 2/0s.not a bite till about 6-30pm 1 x very small yting 1 x large rock ling and then the skinyest yting ive ever seen ,was over 35cm long but i bet it dident weigh 6 oz.ht came then bang keeper size yting one after another all to 2 hook flapper with plain common lug . much the same for the two others that were with me .packed up around 10-30pm so all in all i was well happy

Hi Steve,
Thanks for a good report - I must try Hythe as it is only about 9 miles from where I live. Catching nothing in Hythe will make a change from catching nothing at Dungeness! Are you sure your skinny whiting wasn't an eel? LOL
