Conoflex sell blanks,
www.conoflex.co.uk
Guides and Blanks are another.
http://www.guidesnblanks.com/
Not sure if Century do them or not, haven't seen blanks advertised by Greys, could email and ask.
Conoflex are probably the best option if the rod you want is offered as a blank and is in the price.
Built one up, 6 piece boat rod for travelling by Conoflex, my problem was getting the whipping threads I wanted. Bought from the US in the end.
Will need a rod rotator to prevent the coating from dripping. Also will need to practise getting a ring whipped on about 10 times before you are happy, possibly 20.
Not as simple as it seems but a great way to pass a month or two if in no rush.
UK hooks sell heat shrink for the butt if you decide to use it. Simple way of getting a butt. The sister site to Guides and Blanks sell lots of components. |
