Not posted for a while as nothing to post about but......
Had a wee sesh fishing the beach at Scremerston just south of Berwick on Tweed.
Light wind from the S/E and a good wee surf running.
Dug some lug and hit the shore with another angler using Lug/macky/bluey/squid and sandeels as baits.
Started fishing at 5.00pm and had a good 4 hrs on the beach on a rising tide.
Phil was first into a small flounder after about half an hour and another couple of better ones soon after.
He was using single hook snoods with beads on a long trace and smallish hooks.
Soon after the sun went completely down the coalies came along for a bit of fun, i only caught three as i was using a 2 hook 1 up 1 down with 1/0 hooks and on my other rod i was going for glory with a 5/0 varivas big mouth pennel style clipped down loaded with lug/macky and a sliver of squid on the end and launched as far as i could.(didnt catch anything on it).
All in all it was a good wee sesh with 4 or more flounders and a good doze of wee coalies so at least none of us blanked.
Left for home about 9.30 and had a spam fritter supper loaded with brown sauce.
Will deffo try again down there soon as i am sure there has to be the odd passing lunker with my name on it.
Cheers for reading,
