sorry but i had these pics saved on my phone and only gettin them downloaded now. there from a session in early august. i was well proud of the trigger fish and im not sure but i think the other 1 is a horse mackerel.

That is a good size scad (horse mackerel). I still havent caught a trigger well done. They have started to go much further up North now.
What did you catch it on?

nice trigger fish. i know a few lads down here that would give their right hand to have one on the species list

Its one I have been looking for for a few seasons without any luck.

Thanks lads, big grin big grin i caught it on mackerel, total shock i thouht it was a wrasse r pollock at first cause it kept on trying to dive for the bottom into the weed. i didnt even no wat it was until i looked it up on the net. cause ive never heard of nebody catching 1 up here. must be global warming. big grin

Did you eat it? If so what was it like?( the trigger not the scad)

yeah neil i ate it, it was lovely, very meaty fish even tho it looks thin. big white flakes, i seriously thought it was up there wi plaice and cod.
