has anyone fished the above venue near the SAN LUCA resteraunt thinking of giving it a go saturday morning for some flattie bashing need a morale boost after 2 blanks in a row, any info on what area to fish would be appreciated? have fished hessle foreshore but found it to be snaggy so dont want to go there and have heard mackro is overun with crabs at the mo?????? please advise big grin big grin big grin

Hi Jay If you fish from the little car park near the skate boarding area look at the river and bear to your right about 50 yds and fish there it can be very muddy but on it's day you can catch, we have caught flatties,whiting and the odd bass there. good luck Paul..

Hi Jay, as for bait at Hessle I've caught on prawn,ragworm,lug and mackerel strips it's a case of what you can get on the day. We fished at Mackro's last week only 1 flattie caught on prawn it was mainly feeding the crabs for 5 hours!!! Paul..
