Fished last night at sea town with lug rag black lug squid and mackeral and not a bite lol was well dissapointed. anyone no why everytime i baited up worm with or without bait elastic the worm was gon within 10 minutes without having a bite |

Hi Shane, welcome to the forum. The most likely culprits are crabs, they are rife now, and they can strip your bait without you knowing. Cheers..Mick |

thanks i thought as much were going blue anchor on wednesday was told lug worm is good for that bay just hope the crabs arent as bad there |

Something I've tried which might work...
Thread on the line above hook(s) some pieces of cork I bought somewhere some cylindrical bits of cork about 1 cm long and 5 mm diameter, thread on by means of needle (a fairly big one) do it at home rather than on beach as sometime pliers are needed and a bit fiddly, 4 of these things has done the trick for myself on a pulley rig or if the snood is up the line. Obviously if the little blighters (crabs) swim well it wont deter them.
Try it - it may help.

yh m8 cheers mite giv that a go think were gunna give blue anchor a go soon dunno if anyone has any info on where is fishing well at the moment in the south west area |
