hope someone can help my mitchell fg677 reel is not locking out only had the reel 6mnths but mitchell are not willing to help as i have lost the warranty card and proof of purchase. |

Where did you buy it ... if its an online or mail order purchase the retailer would probably have a record of the purchase ... its also the responsibility of the retailer to sort the problem, not the manufacturer.
That aside, what do you mean exactly by "locking out"? |

what i mean by not locking out is the spool is just on free all the timeit is not locking in place like it should to keep the line tight |

Do you mean the spool is revolving on the shaft (ie like it would when it gives line to a fish that pulls hard) or that the reel backwinds and there is no anti-reverse? |
