could any 1 help i need a safe place 2 take my 10 year old son<northwest> for fun fishin mackeral doggies flatties ect.ive not fished for a few years but still got a couple ov carp rods whitch shud do thanks 2 any 1 that can help

hi mate,
welcome to the forum
not many places hold makerel near to manchester. Best place for feathering makerel is angelsey side. For doggies try the fleetwood/ blackpool coast, but will need a bigger rod. Or you could try the preston bullnose when these rains stops for flounders.

Keep everything tidy after fishing session though as most marks are easy access and we risk losing it if we don't keep it clean.

thanks 4 the info where,s the preston bullnose and is frozen lug ok or do u need 2 dig fresh one,s.is morcambe bay still gud 4 flatties fished there about 25 years ago and caught loads.

Thanks mate will av a go at looking it up just got laptop a few days ago never bin on a computer b4 it took me half a day 2 learn 2 send my first post. I noticed someone called buggallugs lives 2 mins from me maybe he could help me out with any fishin questions its bin a long time since i last fished and thinks change pretty quick.thanks again

Blue Bridge at Fleetwood can be quite productive in summer for flounders and eels. The Cadet bast and behind the baths for general fishing. Arnside for flatties, Holyhead for doggies whiting and mackerel (when they decide to show) Whitehaven is a good all round venue for most species.

thanks 2 everyone 4 there help i checked out the preston sea anglers website it was really helpfull i will try a few marks i got off the site.would b great 2 meet up with others who could show me the ropes as ime a bit rusty ime sure it wont take me long 2 get bak into it though[cant wait]

ok mate no problem might b a month or so now b4 i get up there just had a call from garage the cylinder head is on its way out so will b looking 4 car now dont want 2 chance driving up there its allredy making a noise shud b sorted in the next month.ps i allways clean up my spot b4 goin ome hate people who leave all there crap bhind

IF YOU ARE AFTER DOGGIES THEN U COULD TRY OFF WORKINGTON LIGHT HOUSE AS I WAS DOWN ON SUNDAY AND CAUGHT 3 DOGGIES OFF THERE
