Me and my mate fished king george dock today(23/5) past the lock gates, we had a little match with 1 rod each ended up with 4 each, he had 2 eels and 2 flatties, i had 3 eels and 1 flattie, but i also had another rod set up with a bigger bait, including crab, squid and lug and cast between 80 - 100yds, ended up with 2 flatties, 1 was a lovely sized dab, which i thought for about 30 seconds was destined for pan, but it was nicely hooked so i took pity on it and let it swim another day....

The main problem was after we finished and tried to get back home, we couldn't!! they had locked the gates around the lockgates so we couldn't get out, we decided to clamper around the outside of the fence with our bikes and fishing gear which was quite dangerous, when we had nearly got around them, the security started to shout to us, threatening to arrest us, but my mate told them to go and stuff themselfs, and also told them that they shouldn't be able to shut the gates when they wanted to, after that they backed down and finally opened the gates again, that was after we had clampered round it angry .apart from the run in with the ABP it was a nice enjoyable day..
