hi all, i fished sandwich kent on the 15-5-2010 during the day at the turn of the tide on a pennell pully rig/bluey fillet, weighing in at a sweet 15.4lb, this was my first thorney from the beach and she was cleaned up and safely returned to fight another day ....jeff |

Hi Jeff, A very warm welcome to the site
Cracking fish and of course well done on the PB. Where exactly in Sandwich were you fishing as I am not familiar with the sea wall that I can see in the background??

well done jeff ii had one about a month ago a bit further down from the marina nowhere near as big as yours,lovely fish i love that bit of coastline from sandwich to walmer,the best beach fishing i know of

if i had one that big i would at least have a smile for the camera. lol and cleaned it before taking the pic.
Thats a lot of blood coming out of it, i prefer to use a single hook when ray fishing and hound fishing come to it as they will only swallow one hook rather than 2 (if they do take it down).
lovely fish but terrible pics. |

fair point mate, but if you knew me you would know that i was smiling and as for the blood it was not as bad as it looked and i learnt my lesson on not cleaning the fish before photographing it as it was rejected by sea angler because of it and i cant claim a mission accomplished badge because of it (my bad) but i can assure any one who have doubts i cleaned the fish up and she swam off safely, i have now removed the photo's so as this dont get out of hand......jeff |

it was where the seafront road ends and does a sharp left about 500 yards past the deal 1919 fishing club going towards sandown castle.....jeff |
