i just picked one of these up for £20,secondhand,from a tackle dealer, its not old just a bit of paint chipping on the handle. has anybody used one before, ive found that its sorted my casting distance out by a considerable amount (paired with my daiwa supercast).has anybody had any ploblems that i should be made aware of for future reference.
all the best

Don't have that particular model but have found in the last three years that Diawa sea reels are pretty robust and cast well. If the reel is in good condition, I think you did well at that price. |

Ultimately if your happy with it that's all that matters ... but if it's the standard model they are only about £29 new. Look okay for the price though. |

My brother just bought a Opus 5500 reel from ebay. Having it's test ride tonight. Looks like a nice reel for the money though.

Check that the bale arm screw is nice and tight b4 use - some have come adrift. |
