wel lads was just wandering what knot would be best for tapered shockleader on to red ice mono on a fixed spool. i never really used shockleder before because i wasnt long casting so i wasnt useing big weights but now got a new 15 ft abu hellbender and i want to improve my casting with bigger weights 5, 6 oz leads so ne info on knots and shockleader would be a big help.

Hi, also, make sure your shockleader is 10lb breaking strain to each ounce of weight, ie 5oz weight 50lb B/S

if your using a tapered leader try this knot, very good and pretty small
