You probably dont want an Axe then- its a rough ground rod so great if youre fishing heavy ground especially for the price but it's a bit too pokey for my liking. What type of ground do you fish ?

Accelerators are not designed to be bent easily - i used to use one and im about to have it rebuilt as an out and out conger basher.

I've lifted 15lb of weight dead from the floor with it, and i dare say it would have taken a fair bit more. It's a real beefy rod and i found its practically useless with weights under 5ounces, 6 and 7 ounces being preferred to get a bti of flex going on.

If you want a rod you can bend look at a more general purpose beach rod such as a daiwa sandstorm or similar, they are about the same price i think.
