reached Paull at 10:50 so we could fish 2hr before and after high tide which was at 12:50. Used 2 rods both with three hook flappers bited with cocktails of mackral, lugworm and squid. There was lots of snow falling but the wind wasnt as strong as the weather guys had prodicted. Fished just of the lighthouse, but cutting a long story short me and my dad blanked, though we did have some good bites. However when packing our things we were speaking to 2 other guys who also said the conditions were perfect but WERE ARE THE FISH, LET ALONE THE COD! When we left there must of been at least 20 other rods out...not of which had even had a bite.
Probably try saint andrews quay next time.

Hi, ive fished paull at least 7 times and only caught a rockling on the last trip. Ive seen plenty of rods out at the same time, but only a few have caught the odd fish. To be honest i think paull is a dead loss unless you go when its dark, it does marginally better then. Cheers..Mick |
