Went for a blast earlier today on the pier . Not many people there. Fished the sea side because the dredger was doing it's runs. Looked like it was quiet for everyone and I wiggled out a whiting just a whisker under a lb after a hour or so.
I don't know what it is but..is there some sort of magnet sealed beneath the piers foundations Some dude was blabbing that the guys next to him had 4 whiting (I must be blind..or I must have done a reaaaaly long blink and misssed all 4) one of which was "this big" gesturing with his hands in length, it must have weighed about 3-4lb lol
Still.. put a smile on my face
Then the snow came and with it a couple of whiting to other anglers and another whiting to me a bit bigger than my first. Mackie seemed to do the trick
Not a bad first session really...hope it's a good year for everyone! |
