hi im a new user to the site, i am planning to fish severn beach soon. i am trying to catch cod there. and was wondering if anyone could give some tips on the right marks,tides and bait.

hi lewis,welcome to the site, you will want a good spring tide to fish here mate tide's 12 m and over are best you can either fish from the sea wall or the slipway, the tide pull here can be strong as well so some good grip leads will be required i use anything from 150 g upwards, as for rigs i keep it simple by using pennel pully rigs as for baits lug,rag,squid,mackie should do the trick if there about,lots of small codling about at the mo but not many big one's hope this help's.
