A boat fished north cardiff weather warning so he moved to ranny, he had 2 cod of 6lb. plenty conger and dogs, ranny beach still producing conger and codling around the 1.5lb mark, sudbrook is putting out codling 1.5lb to 2.5lb. porthcawl pier producing dogs whiting and small eyed rays?and i still cant find out what my favourite foreshore in cardiff is giving out? :? |

hi guys just found site (where av i been)
anyway moving to lavernock in 2 weeks, litrally 100yds from beach near st marys well bay sullly island etc. anyway have not fished in a few years and just dusted out all my gear ready for the move where i intend to go every week at least once. anyway anyone got any hints tips for that stretch of beach, was down there the other week and i could see it looks a very dangerous bit of sea but atleast it should attract some nice fish (i hope) any help on the area bait rigs gear much appreciated, also wouldn't mind meeting one or to fellow anglers on the beach, i can always supply some hot tea/ soup as my home is one of the caravans on the bay. |

well finally got to go fishing today, took one of the young people from my work over to the barrage wall. about 50 or so men and woman on the wall mostly catching whiting. the guys both sides of us caught 13 and about 10 each. We caught 1  but it was my first one in years so cant complain. did not weight it but is was over 14 inches in lenght and was a beauty. we will be eating it tonight. |

I've used WD40 and it seems to work best with frozen black lug.
It certainly doesn't put fish off. |

5 whiteing on Saturday guy next to me caught 2 nice codling.
0 on sunday. i recon the amount of fishermen on the beach (about 50+) scared all the fish away, hardly anything caught. if you were there let us know how you got on but i'm quite sure it was poor for the majority of us |
