I take one of those anti-bacterial alcohol bottles of stuff fishing with me. Use it now and again whilst fishing. Especially after handling raw prawns etc and before I eat or smoke. Get through about six bottles per session. Can get it in Superdrug etc for about one squid a bottle. |

use shaving foam, and wash your hand under cold water, allways works no matter how smelly your hands are, also gets rid of lug worm stains, |

Use a nail brush around your fingernails as this is where the smells hold up. Mrs C bought me some fishermans hand cream. It smells of coconut and once you rub it on, no more smells of fish and worms. Anyway, well done on the pier, I hope to join you all one day and make a t*t of myself.

Could try barrier protection cream or something like that not sure wot its called but used to have it in my old job. Puts a layer of stuff on ur hands and when it came to washing away all the grease and that afterwards came straight off much easier than if not using the cream. |

Don't moan too much mate, remember that it is that smell that attracts fish to your bait. It is just one of the minor hazards of all anglers - count yerself lucky that you don't work in a tannery - ten times worse. |

If you can't get rid of it Viffer, you could just resign yourself to it and have it developed as a signature aftershave; Eau de Lug!!  |

Well, the shaving foam done the trick.
I had already unfortunatly washed my hands in hot water when I stopped by a MucDonalds on the way home, and their soap was useless, yes this has literally baked the smell into my skin.
Used some Gillette Jel, by morning the stench had gone
It's quite ironic, I love fishing, but do not like eating fish, nor the smell of it
Thanks for the tips lads |
