Hi Andy,
I don't know anything about these reels at all and they may be fine. However, I tend to be wary of buying cheap reels as you usually get what you pay for.
The second hand market may be a better place to look for a reel and i would focus on Penn gt series or if you are looking to spend less but want an equally good reel the Daiwa Sealine series are good reels to.
Mac.

yep cheers mac,i was looking at this particular reel as it is ambidextrous, and im one of those kak-handers,so thats what mostly caught my eye.

but then again if i do purchase one and it does prove to be not what is expected or i just cant get on with a multi, then the outlay wont sting so much.

but if i do then its save save save for something much far superior for me.

ive read about the penns and other reels and i think that is something i would aim for

tight lines

Hi Andy,
RE Multiplier reels..............these reels that you are talking about retail in the region of £18-£23 range is that correct? if so on that basis I would assume that they would be a right 'Barrel of Monkeys' TROUBLE ALL THE WAY at wits' end - New! !!!!!!!!!! .It would probally be more prudent to wait and save up a bit more......................a Multiplier that is at the low end of the market is the Shakespeare 'Powerplay'.....£40-£45 it looks the business, it has caught my eye as a back -up reel, I'm told it is based on the old millionare reel. However, I have no knowledge myself of its performance..........I posted in the 'Sea reels section in Geggy-poos original posting but to date he has not answered me crying .............maybe someone will read this posting and do you and myself a big favour and give us a better insight into it's performance !!. Have recieved your PM cheers mate and I'm glad you came out in front !!!!!!!, smug .Take it easy, stay safe cheers.....JOLI

yeah ive seen the shakespeare 'powerplay'(and yes it caught my eye too) and probably with hindsight i might be better of holding out abit.just thought i would have a nose around with the GCT2030,for feedback.yeah £18-£25 is about right.

tight lines fella

Andy1i

ps. ive not heard of geggy poos for ages now, hope the fella is ok
