best bait down here is sandeel m8 u can catch them litrally anyware there is broken ground with sand or mud patches(thornbacks) and mainly sandy beaches for the smalleyed rays, the smalleyed scrap the best ,but like any fish if the tackle aint balanced it can be like hauling in a bag.  |

yeah poach and nat i had a decent session on sat the 25th i had 3 flattys biggest ov 1lb 7oz, 1 wighting ( my lug was bigger  ) and 2 codling biggest was 4lb 11oz and the other was only 2lb, i kept the bigger one obviously , and my pops had the small one.
the biggest flatty is also freezing its goolies of in ma freezer. the weather was not that bad either. 28' tide with a westerly wind. the mark where i fish is best at the night time. and there has never been any trouble with drunken teens, but lucy( my priest by my side, half pick axe handle). so boys i might see you up here some time, if you fancy it give me a shout if you want. im out again mon night.
the fish were cought on a 2 hooker boom, bomb, ( a rig is a rig to me, aslong as i can put bait on it it will do for me).
speak soon fellas. jamie |
