how would you fish these ,with a slow retrive not sure advice welcome ta mick

Hi Mick. If you intend to fish for Mullet with them a very slow retrieve is probably best. Rather than targetting individual fish, try and find a shoal on the move and drop the fly in amongst them. I have found that Mullet are much more likely to take a fly if they are in competition with each other. Best of luck mate.

Colin...

A) would you hang the bloodworm under a Frog Hair (for example) or just let it do its thing?....

B) swearing seems to make little difference, so do you think throwing rocks at the stubborn buggers first, just to stun them a bit, might help (big rocks, obviously)? confused

Hi DW. I have read reports of guys fishing a blood worm suspended under a bread fly and having good success. I like to fish the fly on light fluorocarbon(4lb) and let it drift with the current if possible, waiting for the line to tighten. If there is not any current, then a slow figure of eight retreive often works. Key is to find a close group of feeding fish rather than individuals and be patient, very patient.
If this fails, then option B sounds good to me
