Hi,
Popped out this evening to catch the flood.
Beautiful calm evening, excellent conditions at last.
Fished over the shallow sand flats as the tide flooded and soon enough the fish came in with the tide.A few nips here and there and follow ups on my roll casts but no takes.
It was only a matter of time though.Fish were popping the surface 6 feet away after you had just cast 20yds over there!!
The shoal was really active but just out of range as the birds were diving.
After much panicking and a few tangles we had fish on, the best about a pound but bigger fish were definately out there.
Unfortunately due to the location we only had about an hours fishing before having to retreat to safety.
Cheers
