im desperate to have a crack at some bass, the only place i know of round here where they "might" be is opposite the boat yard in druridge bay, i only say might be as this is the only place in this area where i heard theirs a chance of em, theirs probably more places and better places but nobody ever mentions em.
can you give us a few tips on bait and rigs to use to target these blighters and any other handy info, that will give me an even chance.
been doing well lately at tynemouth fishing for sport and fishing for mackerel at blyth so be gd to get back to my blanking ways fishing for bass
tight lines

you can use them whole so starting at the head slide them on your hook and get the hook in the middle of the body as bass always go for the middle of the sandeels body to break its back then comes back to eat the disabled fish |

lynemouth, behind alcan (sea bait) their is a pipe with a large flat rock behind it, fish from their quite close to the front or just past the front of the pipe. Failing that you can actually get bass from lynemouth beach mate |

Hi, I think you are fishing at the wrong place at Duridge bay, do not fish oppositie the boat yard, continue up the road till you get no further, there are some wooden steps go down those onto the beach and turn right, continue along the beach and you will see a stream running into the sea, fish to the left of the stream. Its best one hour before and 2 hours after high tide.
If I have time spare, i walk the dogs along the beach at low tide and log where the gullies are, they change all the time, the bass lie in the gullies and feed.
I find rag worm ona 3 hook flapper good, and had an excellent time last year with my sea spiin there too.
good luck. |

thanks for the replies every1, probably gonna hit one of those marks within a week so will post back with a report,
are those the steps behind the park place in druridge bay, if so fished their before for flatties and did look gd for bass, plenty of surf running, if we on about the same steps is that the stream 1 mile down the beach well past the pipe, if so can u not get down the small road i can see on the map, looks like it goes alway to the bottom of the stream |
