OK here is the crack,
Ive fished all over the roker pier and on the ratty, even travelled down by the glass centre. Where is a good spot to fish around here????
(As you maybe able to tell i dont catch much lol)
Ive been told to go and fish the tyne but i really love the sunderland coast line and would love just to find one good fishing spot.
So if anyone has any tips on good fishing spots i would love to hear about them.
Thanks Anth
ps what is the best rig set up to use around here. |

your obvious problem is the location, that area will be full of maccems and the fish know it
ive been fishing tyne mouth recently which is only up the road from u and fishing has been ok, small sizes upto 1lb or so but had a decent session their almost every time, matter of fact its the only place i been this yr where i been catching anything, blyth amble lynmouth etc all been rubbish for me this yr |

i usualy fish the north bank, theirs a small car park at low lights (its free after 8pm btw as well) directly in front of the car park is a small beach, i usualy fish their depending on the tide or if the tide is high enough, 100yrds to your left is a prominade, if you walk along their a bit fish out from the 2nd bench, casting towards the groyne or slightly to the left of that, had a couple of only slightly under sized cod from their a few weeks ago, (both returned) and have always caught summat their, the beach is usualy ok for flatties and coley, if you do walk along to the prominade wouldnt go past the 2nd bench as gets very snaggy after that
if you dont wanna go on the north side suppose you could fish the groyne itself or the brigade hut at the bottom of south shields pier, never been their tho so i would read the south shields pier thread, positive both these marks are covered in it...
(p.s. if you do goto low lights at night the top of the carpark is usualy chokka with boy racers, just park at the bottom near the beach, they dont bother with that end and tbh never had any problems with them, they just park in their chatting, so dont get put of with em) |

you got a few good marks in your area mate, the glass centre, the high drop, low drop, golden lion, then you also got beach marks at roker, seaburn and whitburn, excellent rough ground fishing from the cat and dog steps right the way through to shields |

Thanks for all the help, I will be checking out these new spots soon.
Quick update though, I fished Shields pier today and found it very lively (2 mackerel and 1 Pollock good sizes and S**T loads of sand eels and small Pollock and coaly). Would defiantly recommend it. |
