Hi guys,,, Had planned a last minute trip out to spurn this morning, but while loading car up. I've gone and done my back in, so had to cry off crying , as feel i would'nt be able to manage fishing,as pain is unbearable at moment. And with my holidays coming up next weekend 8th august. Feel it would be unwise of me to attempt to fish. Was so looking forward to chasing the bass and flatties..
I feel i know where my probs lie,,am carrying to much gear i shakespeare box, not knowing what to take and what to leave out.
Had even hoped to go fishing while on hols at Scarborough , even that looks doubtfull at moment.

Hi Martyn, shame you had to abandon your trip out, i know the feeling well. I put my back out last month when i had arranged to meet jacko69 i was determined not to miss out so took my powerstick, only casts 3 1/2oz weight, 1 reel, a couple of 3oz weights, a few ready made rigs, and bait. and i fished quite happily all day no probs. I knew tackle loss was not a worry so managed with everything in a little shoulder bag. Now whenever im having back trouble i do the same thing, plus look for a pier etc, and as your going to scabby you dont have a problem there. big grin thats where i went. Hope your feeling better soon and get some good days fishing in, look forward to fishing with you again some time soon. cheers..Mick
