Just a wee update. We went last night and got 3 Pollock and a Red Gunard(we think). You were also correct about loosing tackle. I lost the first to rigs within about 20 minutes and then decided to use a float. Just as a matter of interest are there any places there that are better than others for fishing?
Thanks |

Just back from Garron point myself and fished the low tide. Caught 2 red sea scorpions (could they be your gurnards? that's what my brother told me they were, but I checked, definitely sea scorpions!) cuckoo wrasse too which was great and also a fish I couldn't identify. Was told it was a pouting but I don't think it was as all the pouting I've seen are silver and this was red, although it was similarly shaped. Bucketloads of pollock too, at decent sizes! |
