I like your style Mick. The dust has hardly settled on the last meet and your ready for another. Personally I wish they were weekly events winking
I think the general consensus was that Hayling would be good for the next cast away. I'm sure bassfly can suggest a good spot or two for the day. Good practise for when he becomes a salt water guide.
Or maybe we will be invited over to the Wight Isle?
More importantly, who is supplying the Mars Bars next time?

PS , the Bass and Mullet should be worried. I've just ordered fly tying materials and after I get a lesson from bassflytyier my first creation will be the sparse blood worm clouser.

Hi guys, there will definately be an invite to the island at some point. At the moment i seem to have lost the fish! having a lean spell at present, the weather isn't helping i think, need some rough weather to bring them back inshore here. Lots of Mackerel in the solent to the boats apparently, but yet to find them within fly range.

Well done on the last day out, at least i can put some faces to names from the pics. Will post a mug shot for your amusement as soon as i catch something to pose with!

A wee boat trip to Pilsey sounds like a nice adventure, especially if the weather plays ball. Should get peace and quiet over there and fish who are rarely disturbed by humans. Depending on how many people turn up you might need to borrow the Gosport ferry!
I'm on hols July 24th for two weeks, so before then would be nice.
Which date did you have in mind Bossfly?

I propose a big day out on Saturday 18th July
High tide @07:58 Sunrise @ 05:11.
Or Sunday 19th high tide ' 09:18.
The evenings are good tides too so get prepared for a LOT of casting.
I am tempted to fish all four tides as im pretty sure that all those hours will produce some big fish at some point.
I need to check out access to Pilsey Island as it is a protected area and also its right on Thorney Island the military base.
Blasting across the sea in a boat towards an army base at dawn could be bad for our health, but hey just think of the compensation money!
All takers sign below.
Cheers
Simon

Count me in! it will be good to meet new people and put names to faces.
I fish hayling at least once a week and it is fishing well at the mo with plenty of fish around!
The 18th and 19th sounds good, just hope for good weather and wind direction!!

Don't worry Silverfly, plenty more trips to come. Good luck with the Blues.
