Going down the pier tomorrow. Anybody been lateley and know how it's fishing?

i have heard lots of good reports from walton peir,i have never fished it before,lot of guys on this site have fished it,and reports looks very good,i might have a trip there soon,

Thanks, Diawa. I've fished it for more years than I care to admit, but I just wondered if anybody'd been in the last few days.
I've only ever fished Southend Pier once. I always think of it as a Summer mark.

walton is alright at the mo a few codling starting to show with small pain in the arse whiting still the old late summer bass if you fish at ths start of the pier.

southend is fishing good at the moment, have had cod here few days ago,

Went down the pier to-day (Friday 20th). Fished up near the entrance on the left. Blowing a gale, sunshine alternating with quite heavy rain. Fished from 0900 to 1430. Never had a bite, that I could see. Tried rag, lug, raw prawn, cooked prawn, squid, mackerel and frozen black lug.
There were quite a few fishing, but as far as I know only a couple of fish were caught all day.
