Hi , my names Jon and im an alc....sorry a sea angler.
Ive been shore fishing for about 10 yrs with varying success on the match scene.I enjoy the being there and doing it bit more than winning prizes(just as well).
Ive been a fly angler for about 3years and like most of us, started on rivers and lakes as a wee small lad many moons ago.
I use zziplex and daiwa whisker rods for the shore and conoflex for estuary.Abu reels with ct cages, and although i make my own rigs i also use the excellent range of ready mades from CHL rigs.I swear by ultima F1 as a mainline with leaders made from drennan greased weasel.
I prefer to fish at night and being on a beach miles from anywhere, the colder and more deserted the better(nutter i hear you say) is my idea of magic. If the bites come...all well and good, but if not...hey, who gives a ......
Although i live in Hampshire, im a member of the 1919 club in Deal, Kent.
I will be fishing the open next week so maybe see some of you there?
My other big passion in life is my motorcycles and my club.Im sgt at arms of my local and ride a 1997 Harley FXDL lowrider.
Tight line to you all and and glad i found this forum as its full of so much info and local knowledge. Jon.

Yes 81Angler, welcome to our home. They treat us very well here and sometimes they let us out. By the way, the jackets that they give us are very nice but the sleeves are a bit long and tie together round the back-is that how they're supposed to be?

It's all good fun and you'll get some great advice.
