Hi, what a cracking day we had today weather wise. We set off at around 05.30am to meet up with Jacko69 and Hatter, both called dave which complicates matters. we arrived just after 7 and jacko was pedaling his bike like a good un as we approached the pier. needless to say he was already setting up when we walked from the carpark. within a few minutes we were set up and running, the sun was cracking the flags which lasted all day, and we perched ourselves on the wall, Hatter joined us shortly after but we had no idea what he looked like or anything, so had to wait for him to speak up first as there were a few fishing. my bro Ray decided to use the Sabiki again, catching 2 small whiting and 1 pouting, plus 3 other tiddlers. Conner caught a couple of flatties a bullhead (if memory serves) and a scorpion fish. Useless git here only caught a flattie, saving me from a blank, but the sea was almost dead calm and clear. We had a great day of it, no shortage of laughs as usual, It was nice to meet Hatter, nice bloke, so im looking forward to any other meets we may have. I will let the two daves write their own bit, Cheers everyone......Mick |

Hi Mick seems like you had a good day in the sunshine, what would we do without the flatties to save us from blanking lol. Where's the pic of Jacko peddling hell for leather?? |

Well what a great day we had dispite the weather forcast being wrong. got there and found every one and despite the warnings survived Conner.Mick didnt mention that we all scored before him and he was on catch up all day.Raymond proved it possible to catch although no bait and Dave also kept his end up Even the Codfather turned up and it was nice to meet him and perhaps we will fish together soon. Would just like to say thanks to all the guys there for a great day (even Conner) and we must make another date as soon as your available. |

I forgot about the fish flapping down rays back, and i was playing catch up for about 5 hours, but we were having such a nice time of it i didnt notice. We had a look at daves boat on the way past as well, its looking good, and should be ready soon. We will definitely do it again soon, Thanks for a great day out. cheers...Mick |
