Try Camping and General. I got a camping gaz one from there for about £25 without the gas. There are two cartridges that fit and they're not expensive and they run for ages. I used one cartridge (larger one) for 12 hours of fishing and 4 hours of camping. It's small enough to fit in a tackle box too.

Go to camping accessories-lanterns and they're all on there.

You may like to think about an LED lamp my friend - they are just starting to appear in the shops - I saw one the other day which was rechargeable and had about 20 LED's, was priced at around £15. No idea just how good they are but I use a 7 LED headlight when night fishing and with all seven switched on it, its good for at least 10 yds.

I concur with the LED route, I have a 15 LED torch, bright as hell, and the 2 aaa batteries last for bloody ages :o

I use an LED lead lamp at work it cost about £17 and has about 100 LED's so very bright .... it is rechargeable comes with mains adaptor and car lighter adaptor as far as time it lasts from fully charged must be about 6 hours.....

I bought it for working in lofts during the summer (I am a Plumber/heating engineer) as the temperature in the loft is often in the top 30 Deg C to over 40 Deg C sometimes and ordinary lead lamps just compound the heat, whereas the LED's emmit no noticeable heat.
