what is the most used rig, with best catch rate??

Personally I would say the best all rounder would be a 3 hook flapper or for distance 3 hook clipdown :wink:

Yup, except I use two hooks rather than three.
From a pier and at very short range I occasionally use a running leger.

Three hook clipped down for distance. Running ledger close in set up for flatties.

i agree with duncbooth the 3 hook clipdown but sometime i just go with the 2 hook clipdown.

A good rig in my opinion is a one up one down paternoster, clipped or flapping depending on how far you want to cast it.

For short distance work, I favour the 'one up one down' rig, and for long distance work, the 'bomber' rig.

A 3 hook continental style rig with a gripper weight not the wired variety... Or for the bigger fish an up and over pennel rig...

one up and one down for short .... have it clipped for long distance

I always find the best rig is the one you catch the fish on me self lol :lol: :lol:
