Went to Crouch with Daiwa on Sunday. Sunshine with some cloud. Mild south-westerly breeze. Fished two hours b4 high tide, from around 12noon-1700 near Fambridge. Big tide! Nothing right up 'til high tide for me, but then a few bites started on the ebb (after 1430) short distance out (30 yards). First two fish were eels (1st was a tidy lump), followed by 3 Whiting of 1lb, 1.5lb, and 2lb, all in about 1.5 hrs. Went quiet again after that. Managed to bag every bite I got which is very unusual for me!! |
