been out on canvey tonight and had a good evenings fishing. went to scars elbow with a mate and fished the flood. tide was a little dirty to start, wind was very light and sun was out!!! used rag, lug and squid. "h" forgot more stuff than he brought including his tripod and his headlamp but still managed to get a few fish on the beach (think it was two or three schoolies)
i had a very fat schoolie around a foot to start, then a pout followed by a second pout. we moved up to the top wall mid way through the tide, as it was high ish and did not want wet feet. shortly after going up top i had a good strong bite which resulted in a bass around 1.5lb......followed by a doggie (again). not an earth shattering big bass .but my best so far all in all a good fun night!!! |

Nice work.
It was a smallish tide last night, from here on they get bigger, so take your waders

You were probably fishing about 200 yds out with those new rods and casting coaching eh?
Well done. Good report |

most of the bites came to casts between 30/50 yd but have to make sure you clear the seaweed or you lose tackle. did do a few thumps dave but was fishing better closer.........its also very restricted for big rods!! |

Good to see a turn in the fishing, noticed with the ssw wind the tide had a big job coming in now it's dropped maybe it will continue to be more favorable.............nice report, Joli |
