Hello All,
I'm back to pestering you for advice!
What time of year do the Mullet start showing round Old Leigh? I've heard Bell or Rectory Wharf are good spots but any idea what the best tactic is? Float fishing small fish strips with a bit of rubby dubby in the water on a carp rod with size 6 hooks I reckon....
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Mark, rubby dubby is ground bait, just bits of anything fishy you can get your hands on then mash it all up together. If you look on the homepage now, theres a post about cheating to catch fish, that will give you an idea what to do. I personally use an old mesh birdfeeder, ive even got a 1lb boat weight made out of one for when im out on blue mink at fleetwood with rabbi2 Oh and ive also heard, (but not tried) stale bread mixed in to help hold your dubby together then freeze it. Cheers....Mick |

Cheers Dean, I'll give you a shout. Know that bit of Leigh well as I'm only up the road myself. Any idea what time of year they start showing? Also, what depth is best to fish at on the float? |
