Apparently the response to the tope consultation has been very poor and I must admit I am very worried that a golden opportunity for sea anglers may be missed as it appears there are as many responses from the commercials as Recreational sea anglers.

So whether you currently fish for tope or not, please try to get in a response supporting option 2, and convince your club and friends to do likewise.

I honestly believe that if we don't win this one there will be no tope fishery left in British waters within three years

Please don't let another species go the same way as all the others.

details at ww.save-our-sharks.org

It is only two weeks to the closing date. Please respond

It is vital we don't let apathy ruin an excellent chance to protect tope fishing here in the UK.

If you fish for tope or would like to in the future or simply want to save one of our species from commercial destruction it's vital that you back option 2 in the Defra consultation.

It's easy to respond to and only takes a minute but could make a massive impact.

More details including how to respond with sample letters can be found at www.save-our-sharks.org

If you've already responded make sure your mates do as well!

Lets safeguard our sport.

Done my bit lads. Just hope it has the desired effect. Surely there are enough of us in this country to give us some clout when it comes to something like this. Hope we can make a difference. happy
