High guys
just wanted to know your thoughts on fishing against breakwaters....
1. Do you find any particular fish against them?
2. Is it better to fish against the side of a breakwater that the tide is pushing the fish towards?
3. Better off casting beyod them
4. Any other findings...
Thanks |

By 'breakwaters' do you mean 'groynes'; if so, they are best fished by casting out so your bait lies in the vicinity of the end of the groyne, there is usually a depression here which is gouged out by tide. Fish the side that is facing the flood tide, switch to the other side on the ebb, this method will ensure your bait is lying in the depression where fish will be hunting for food washed into the depreesion by the tide.
