Boat fishing. ?

Hi all i was wanting to do some boat fishing for some summer bass. althought ive been on a alot of boats in my time usually diving, never actually been fishing on one only in florida with 300 other yanks, does anyone have any good feed back on some local charters cost , what i need to take, contacts ect. southeast walton to kent areas.
