Hello all,
I am pretty new to sea fishing, fished all winter in Dover, Deal and Dungie. However I live in Basildon and am looking to fish local to where I live, Basildon Essex.
Not really got a clue of the best places, had a read through and so thought I would post to see whats fishing where. Prefer to fish off the beach.
Was going to fish Dover last night, but not fishing well off the beach.
Going to try and fish local to me from now on..... |

hi gary and a warm welcome to the site............the thames section is a relativly new forum on here (less than a year old) but has a great spirit and community. the hardcore of users meet regulaly for various things, whether its a couple of the lads just catching a tide or a wholesale meet like last weekend. the best beach venues are tilbury, grays and canvey this isde of the river and probably sheppey or reculver opposite at the moment but depends of species and lots of other stuff. the venue sticky at the top wil give you a good overview of some marks. best off asking specific questions about venue, bait and ebb/flood when you have a clearer idea when and where you are going. you would be welcomed along by most of the guys on here as they are very sociable. not forgetting the pier at southend for a huge array of species at this time of the year. also the black jetty on canvey can be good......but its a long walk for a blank!!! |

Hi, just got back from canvey, not sure where I fished from but it behind a caravan park.
Was ok, I Had two bass out, first was small 6 inches, second was a fair size probably a 1lb or so in weight. Obviously both went back.
Fished till about 21:30,
Will def be going back! And fishing locally! |
