Left house to go and dig some bait just after 6am this morning after making a decision last night that I would dig at Spurn and then fish the river over playing Golf and fishing Out Newton with Rick.

(i may have made the wrong choice hey Rick, lol)

Got myself a good 60 worms in just over an hour and a half so jumped back in the van and took a slow drive to my mark as the tide was still coming in.

Once set up with two rods both with 3 hook flapper rigs I lobbed them out (80yards) and on my first cast with Rod 1 I caught a small flounder.

Baited all 3 hooks back up and on my second cast I had another small flounder.

So back out it went again only for me to get slack lined by this little bass on my third cast.

The mark normally fishes better for me on the ebb but the flood was doing well today.

Once the tide had turned it went quiet, I was still getting little knocks on Rod 1 but Rod 2 had seen no action all day despite it being at the same distance and probably withinn 20 yards of Rod 1 on the sea bed.

Packed up after a couple of hours of the ebb, but still had time for another small flounder on Rod 1.
