I'm fairly new to this sea fishing lark --- live near Glasgow but spend most weekends in the Berwick-upon-Tweed area
Fished the usual places like Eyemouth and Tweedmouth with mixed success
I enjoy boat fishing but find it hard to book a place as the local boats don't really cater for individuals
Really looking for a fishing buddy in the area or any group booking a boat session |

A very warm welcome to the forums mate.looking forward to reading your catch reports.
I used to fish at the top of loch long nesr the submarine pens for some fair sised conger. You have the world at your feet as far as fishing is concerned and I doubt if it will be long before someone replies to having a fishing buddy

Hi Llody and welcome to the forum.
There is a charter boat out of Eyemouth called North Star skippered by Jim and Ian Easington. The boat and skippers are 1st class as is the fishing from about May until October. The really good part is that they run fishing trips for individuals. If you google 'marinequest eyemouth' it will take you to their site. Then just register and they will email you when trips for individuals are available.
The fishing on the borders/lothian coast is slow just now but it will pick up in the next month or so. It is picking up in the southwest with pollack and wrasse starting to show up. Portpatrick to Port Logan and the Mull will be the best spots though dogs will start showing in numbers in Loch Ryan. The usual methods for wrasse and pollack and sandeel and rag cocktails for the dogs should do the trick.
