Im looking at upgrading my spinning rod looking for something not to light and around 10ft I have spent a lot of time "rockhopping " on the east coast of Scotland so It needs to be able to pull through the rough stuff , I have been informed about Savage rods but I dont know any one using one just now , and my first choice was the mike ladlle surespin so can anyone help . |

We use a couple of Grey's Seaspins for lure and float fishing - they are a real pleasure to use - paid about £80 each last year. |

Just bought a Firefly Bass Rod. Light, very slim, all carbon, rated up to 4 ozs, casts like a rocket, just over 12 ft, comes in three pieces for ease of transport - £60. This will be my spinning rod this year, bought it because I bought one of their beachcasters last year and was very impressed at the quality for the money. |
